What to expect

So you attended one of our open training sessions and decided you’d like to join. What does that mean?

Hockey

  • You’ll be part of a hockey community that trains on a weekly basis on Mondays at AMJV. 

  • You’ll be trained by our experienced volunteer training committee. They’ll teach you the basics if you’re new to hockey!

  • Practice matches are arranged on an ad hoc basis

COmmunity

We love hockey but we’re so much more than a hockey team. Join our community on whatsapp and you’ll find a host of subgroups to join based on different interests. From BabyPadel to Babygames (board games), there’s plenty to connect on with other BabyGay members. 

We love a party so keep an eye on the announcements section for information on upcoming events hosted by either the BabyGay committee or members creating their own fun!

Events

Outside of weekly training (and post-training drinks), the BABYGAYS arrange the following events:

  • Sinterklaas (Dec)

  • Team building weekend away (Feb)

  • Verse Vis (May) our own queer mini hockey tournament in Amsterdam

  • Participation in the Eurogames tournament (Jul)

Costs

The season begins in September. Full season membership fees currently sit at €65 per year. If you join later in the year, we have a half season membership option. No refunds are applied.

Your membership fees go towards field hire, equipment and general community management-related costs.

Attending events may involve additional costs.
